My second Minerva Crafts Blogger Network post is live! I chose to make McCalls M7392 skirt and I have basically chosen to sew all of the options! I chose View A – the scalloped hem mini skirt but I chose to add on the waistband and pockets from View C.
I am so excited autumn is here you guys! I am not a hot weather person and found our British summer super hard this year as it was a hot one! I have been saving up cosy projects like this corduroy skirt until the weather started changing and now I feel like I am bursting with ideas!
I was actually going to write a whole blog post about my autumn sewing plans but I have been so enthusiastic about my autumn sewing that I have already made several of the garments that I was going to write about, so I guess I need to rethink that plan! Instead, I guess I will be able to more regularly share things I have made – a welcome relief after quite a dry summer – I hardly made anything when it was hot!

I think this skirt turned out really well, it isn’t perfect (don’t look too closely at the button band!) but it was a great learning curve and I am going to wear the heck out of it all autumn and winter!
Head over to my post on the Minerva Crafts blogger Network to get my top three tips for working with corduroy and all the deets on this pattern!
What a great skirt! I love autumn too, and it’s airways such a relief when I can stay dressing for autumn again….
