If you follow me on Instagram you may well have seen me sneak peek this dress tons of times over the past few weeks. I have hardly taken it off since I made it recently! I made this dress from the softest most gorgeous Art Gallery Jersey from Minerva Crafts. If you have been following this blog for a while you will probably be familiar with my moon phase tattoos on my left arm so it’s really no surprise I HAD to have this moon phase jersey in my favourite colour! It’s like it was meant to be!

I really didn’t want to pick a pattern that distracted too much from the glorious pattern so I chose to lengthen one of my favourite top patterns – the Named Clothing Sointu Tee. All the details on how I hacked this pattern to make it into a dress is over here on the Minerva Blog. Go check it out!
I’d say this is my first proper autumnal make – autumn/winter are my favourite seasons to sew for and I really like rusty oranges, mustard and lots of dark forest greens. I have been planning my autumn makes all summer and it feels good to have made a start on those plans! I am so excited to crack on with all my other ideas but I have quite a long list of things I want to make and so it remains to be seen if I can actually manage to make them all! What about you, have you got big sewing plans for autumn/winter?
The colour looks good on you! 🙂
