Sewing Francoise

A little while ago I was lucky enough to be sent some of this fabric to review from Minerva Crafts. As soon as I saw the retro sixties floral I knew I wanted to turn it into a Tilly and The Buttons Francoise Dress!

Even though it is marketed as a ‘quilting cotton’ I am genuinely impressed at its suitability for dressmaking. It has so much more drape and softness than the quilting cotton I used to make this top, I honestly can’t believe they are both marketed as the same sort of fabric!

This review was written for Minerva a few months ago and I am really surprised to be reminded of how far my photography has come along (largely thanks to my husband who gets much better pictures of me than I do! Anyway, head over to the Minerva Crafts blog now if you want to get the full scoop! I know Pretty Handsome Everyday made a completely amazing dress out of the white colourway of this fabric and that’s over here too!
